12 - School Lies
Impromptu party at the school's swimming pool. Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck and their entourage break into the school swimming pool for a night of fun, but when a member of their group nearly drowns, the school threatens to expel the person responsible for the break-in. Everyone agrees to keep a secret pact and say nothing, but it ultimately creates major tension between Serena and Dan, who isn't sure he's ready to take the fall for someone else and risk his future. Vanessa is working on a documentary project about private schools and accidentally captures Blair and Chuck discussing their affair. Lily contemplates telling Rufus how she really feels about him.

11 - Roman Holiday
Harold tells Blair that he and his boyfriend Roman bought a vineyard in France. Blair freaks a bit because she finds it too permanent. Eleanor hits it off with Jack Roth, a wealthy businessman in his 50s. Blair feels sad because the day she envisioned spending with her father doesn't turn how she thought it would. Rufus faces off a man named Alex who is hitting on his wife. Serena is shocked when Lily announces she is dating Bart Bass.

10 - Hi Society
Serena's grandmother has much to say about the upcoming debutante ball, insisting that her reluctant granddaughter attend - and find a more suitable escort than Dan. Meanwhile, Nate accompanies Blair to the ball as her friend and wants to find out if Blair is seeing someone else. Jenny also hopes to go to the upper-class event - her parents would rather she didn't, however that doesn't stop her.

9 - Blair Waldorf Must Pie!
The Humphreys and van der Woodsens share an awkward Thanksgiving dinner.Dan invites Serena and her family to have Thanksgiving dinner with his family which creates an awkward situation for Rufus, Lily and Allison, making Rufus make a choice between Lily and his family. Nate and his family have an uncomfortable meal, ending up with Harold in the hospital and Blair is upset that her father won't make it home for their family Thanksgiving dinner and realizes that her parents are getting a divorce. John Shea guest stars as Blair's father. During the beginning and the end of the episode, eveents from last Thanksgiving was begin replayed to show the changes in the stars.

8 - Seventeen Candles
Although Blair is devastated by the state of her relationship with Nate, she manages to put on a happy face for her 17th birthday party and attempts to hide her feeling to her friends. Hoping to ease the tension between Serena and Vanessa, Dan takes Vanessa to Blair's party so the girls can bond together, but this ends up making Serena more uncomfortable, but then they found a common ground. Jenny brings her mom home as a surprise visit, but Rufus is not ready to forgive and forget.Also making it uncomfortable for Dan and Allison. Nate's parents ask him to make a huge sacrifice to save his father's business as he faces charges of embezzlement and fraud. Thinking that Nate is giving her a diamond necklace for her birthday, Blair couldn't have been any happier. Until, she finds out at the party, that Nate doesn't show up and the present turns out to be from Chuck.

7 - Victor, Victrola
After surviving the on-again/off-again nature of their new relationship, Serena and Dan finally acknowledge they are crazy about each other, despite their polar opposite worlds that constantly threaten to pull them apart. And Dan tries to treat Serena to a romantic evening alone. Chuck contemplates investing in a burlesque club in the hopes of making his hard-to-please father proud of him.Only to confuse his father's and Lily's relationship and making Lily's and Rufus' relationship go further. Nate confronts his father about the drugs he found in the house, but his father denies having a problem. Jenny discovers a secret her father, Rufus, and mother, Alison, have been keeping from her. Finally, Blair is once again devastated by Nate's actions after Jenny reveals that Nate kissed her by accident thinking she was Serena and revorts her from her elite group for good. After Blair confronts Nate about Jenny's confession, her relationship with Chuck heats up.

6 - The Handmaiden's Tale
Dan's childhood friend, Vanessa returns from home, declaring her feelings for Dan. Blair holds a masquerade ball, and although no outsiders are allowed, a disguised Jenny - with the help of Vanessa - and Dan arrive - taking the identity of some drunk boy. Blair sends Nate on a scavenger hunt on which he is distracted from by Serena, who is actually Jenny under a mask, whom he gives a kiss to - thinking it is Serena. Meanwhile Lily takes Rufus to an Eleanor Waldorf event to make Bart Bass jealous.

5 - Dare Devil
As Serena and Dan prepare for their first official date, the latter finds himself making extensive plans to impress her while Jenny is invited to a sleepover at Blair Waldorf's home and finds herself embroiled in an intense game of truth or dare. Meanwhile, Erik goes missing from his treatment center and Lily seeks Rufus's help in finding him. Nate does not appear in this episode, as he was said to be elsewhere.

2 - The Wild Brunch
Blair reveals to Serena that she knows about her past transgressions with her boyfriend, Nate Archibald, before she left town and gives her the cold shoulder. Meanwhile, Chuck Bass's father hosts a fundraiser brunch and Serena shows up with Dan Humphrey raising the fire of Chuck and Blair. Dan's sister, Jenny, also makes inroads with the in-crowd when Blair befriends her and takes her under her wings.

Her homecoming causes tension within her old group of friends and her best friend, Blair Waldorf, who are not too happy to see her again. Characters Dan Humphrey and Jenny Humphrey are introduced.
